mapa to the rescue

Since daughter Sheila learned she was pregnant in May, we geared up for another season of high maintenance. Sure enough, 8 weeks later we've lost count of the hospital visits for hydration. Nurses struggle to find veins, and Sheila's hands and arms are swollen and sore. Grandaughter, Halie (just 3), has been a trooper, pretty much fending for herself while mom lays claim to the bathroom by day. Daily conversations with Halie include the phrases, "mommy puke", or "mommy sick."
Von and I ("mapa" to Halie), have come to the rescue after work and weekends. We've seen or heard "Swan Princess", "Brother Bear", and "Snow Buddies" enough to last a lifetime. Thankfully, it's finally summer and the outdoors is as much fun as a movie. Rosie's blog highlights those adventures.
Halie has even joined me at work on a couple occassions... more "Snow Buddies" while I'm answering the phone. I have a great boss who allows me to do whatever I have to.
