9 grandchildren!!!

Sat. night, Dec. 26, I was priviledge to tend all 9 of my grandchildren while their parents had "adult time." It is one of the most joyful experiences I have ocassionally, although others would think it insane. Thankfully, Von and Sheila were on hand to help officiate.

The oldest and the youngest, Kristin(9) and Makenna (3 months)

Tyler(7) having a turn with Makenna. Tyler loves babies.

The two youngest, Alexis (11 months) and Makenna. I can tell right now that Makenna will be taller than Alexis.

The 5 grandaughters; Maren (2), Makenna, Kristin, Alexis, and Halie(4)

With the 4 grandsons; Tanner(4), Hayden (7), Tyler and Camron(6)

Each photo of little children is different, as you can see with these two.

Dressing-up is a standard activity at my house. Dave loved wearing Ninja masks when he lived with us, so we still have those and other costumes leftover through the years. Hayden, Tyler and Kristin.

Camron the creative one.

Maren in her own world apart from the others.

Halie the sad clown.

Be sure to show the boys this blog, so they can see what they looked like.

Kristin also being creative. Reminds me of the weights and measures statue, I think.

Tanner the little but mighty ninja.

Hayden and Tanner showing their moves.

Christmas Day at Rosie's

Around 11am we all met at Rosie's for gift exchanging and lunch. David R. had to work, so he was not present, but grateful to have work during the slowdown. He and family had their Christmas early before he left.

The aftermath. Von and I have a family of 15 now, so it was nice to gather at Rosie's bigger home! The following are our wonderful gifts....
Goofy, but amazing son Capt. Dave. He and family drove out from Nebraska, where he is stationed in the Air Force, and is now an aircraft commander.

His lovely wife Jenn.

Dave's firstborn, Jedi warrior Hayden(7).

Dave's son Tanner(4)

Dave's cute little girl, Maren (2)

Dave's sweet new addtion, Makenna (3 months)

Our beautiful and multi-talented daughter Rosie.

Rosie's oldest, Kristin (9), a fledgling musician after my heart. She played Christmas carols on the piano all afternoon.

Rosie's son Superman Tyler (7), the tallest of all the grandkids.

Rosie's youngest Camron (6), practically fearless.

Sheila's youngest, Alexis (11 months), enjoying her first Christmas.

Sheila's daughter Halie (4), who loves being with all her cousins.

Our youngest and very loving daughter, Sheila.

Sheila's husband, Jon, finally opening his present wrapped with duct tape.

Christmas Morning at Sheila's

Von and I joined Sheila's family on Christmas morning, which was Lexi's first Christmas. Halie is 4 and Lexi 11 months.

Halie started us off.

Lexi opening her first gift.

Most of the gifts came from Sheila's long-time friend and former neighbor, Becky Adcox, who has no children.

A bathroom cabinet from Sheila. She helped me assemble it later that night.

A new license plate frame from Sheila.

I think Lexi likes dolls! After Halie opened this, Lexi kept heading over to it inbetween opening other gifts.

Von and Halie played with the doll and tea set. Doll is a potty training doll.

What a Grandpa!
