Christmas Day 2010

"Lo, how a rose ere blooming"! Grand nephew, Tyson Buxton, handed this as a rose bud to me at the Buxton Christmas party two weeks ago. Look how beautiful on Christmas morn!
Grandson, Camron (7) greeted us at the door at his home Christmas Day.

All children and grandchildren gathered at Rosie's for gift exchanging.

The youngest this year, MaKenna, just figuring it out.

Timid Maren with surprise in her eyes!

Tyler having a go, and toothless Camron.

Kristin opening her Paper Jamz guitar.

The older kids having a go.

Grandpa loves movies.

Makenna at the "love the paper" stage.

Lexi Lou and Sheila.

Jenn and girls.

Hayden and Tanner.

Camron tearing into a gift.

Rosie, Dave, Jenn, Hayden and Tanner.

Camron, Tyler, David.

Notice the handcuffs? What a great gift!

The scene.

The divas escaping upstairs with their stash.

What it's all about with little ones.

Maren enjoying her Christmas sack before lunch!

Makenna and Lexi into the snow supply box.

The little angels...Halie, Makenna, Lexi, and Maren.

Seven out of nine not too bad...Camron wouldn't join them, and Makenna didn't make it in time.

All together again.

Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve was so different this year...no snow falling, warm temps...no Buxton Christmas Party (had it two weeks ago instead)...so, Dave and family arrived and came to visit that morning.

Maren (3), Hayden behind her throwing object in the air, Dave with Lexi on his lap, Jenn and Makenna (15 months)
Hayden(8) and Dave.

Makenna with as many toys as possible.

That evening, Sheila's family opened their gifts, since Jon had to work Christmas day.

Salt Lake Childrens Choir

Grandaughter Kristin's last concert, Dec. 19, held in the director's LDS Stake Center downtown Salt Lake City. "Angel O'er the Fields," French Carol. This is the Wednesday Choir, made up of beginners, like Kristin, who auditioned and began singing in the choir this past September, and half who began a year ago. They range in age from 8-12. They all learn to read music and sing without accompaniment during their weekly hour and 30 minute rehearsals. Pause the background music below before playing the videos.

.

This is the Tuesday Choir, noticeably older and more experienced. They are singing another familiar French Carol, "Il est ne le divin Enfant". This brought chills in the Cathedral of the Madeliene performance. Not too bad here, either.

Temple Square at Christmas

No snow this time, so much more delightful getting around to see everything.
Halie and Lexi loved it!

Buxton Christmas Party

The Buxton party was held at Lamar and Margaret Ann's senior community club house in Lehi this year. Dinner brought and shared by all. Blake and Dayna did a great job putting it together.

Kristin and Lexi having a fun moment.

Kids acting out the Nativity while Blake narrated. Joseph, Mary, Lexi's new doll (from Josh the hour before) was the baby Jesus, shepherds and angels.
