Cousins unite!

Some of the cousins gathered for some backyard water fun. I picked up some water guns of all sizes, filled a couple pools, set-up a slip'n slide, and they all used their imaginations as usual.

July 4th weekend 2010

Rosie and some of the Robinsons ran in the Murray 5K. Pictured are Sarah Robinson's brother, Robert and Connie Robinson, Rosie, Sarah Robinson, and Elsy Robinson, who looked after some of the grandkids. William and Daniel Robinson also ran in the race. Sarah's brother was the first in the group to finish, and Rosie last, but has not run before like the others. She beat her best time by over a minute.

After the race, we joined the clan curbside for the Murray parade. David and others had camped out with their trucks and a tent overnight at the adjoining Shopko.

We celebrated with some of our own fireworks, along with many in the neighborhood.

Taylorsville Days 2010

Once again, Sheila, Halie, Alexis and I took in the Taylorsville Days Parade.

Alexis was more into it this year.

Halie still loves pony rides, as well as many of the kiddie rides.

The operator sounded a very loud horn midway through the ride, but Halie kept her ears plugged the rest of the time. Her umbrella was the only one to get blown inside out in the strong wind, too.

This little girl was on the same ride, and looked very much like Halie!

Couldn't believe we let her go on this one by herself. She's a little worried at the speed, but wanted to go again!

She loves these blow-up slides.

They still do the burn-out contest. Always a crowd pleaser.

We took in the K-9 demonstration again, too. Dogs' devotion is pretty amazing.

The highlight is always the fireworks to music. They have some of the best fireworks I've ever seen.
