Highlights this month included a trip to El Centro to visit and care for my parents for a week.  On our way home we met together with my siblings and spouses at brother  Dan's in Apple Valley to talk about our parents' care in the coming weeks and months as needed.

In anticipation of our upcoming visit to El Centro, and future camping trips, we purchased this little Aliner Sport pop-up so Von could be comfortable away from his bed and home.

Basically a bed and very small kitchen, but it has heating, cooling, and is easy to assemble.

 

 

January 2013!

 

Although it was a miserable month weatherwise...inspite of inversions, freeezing temps, freeeezing rain, and fog, we had fun getting together with the grandkids.
I took some of them to the Wairhouse, a trampoline park in Salt Lake City.  Great time on the many trampolines, and dodgeball.
We met one last time with Dave and kids at McDonalds before their trip to Disneyland. 
Lexi's 4th birthday and Tyler's 11th added some fun to the dreary month.

Finally, it snowed!

Christmas Eve we drove to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point instead of Temple Square, since it was snowing and cold, and we could stay in our car and drive through the lights.  Sheila's kids enjoyed that a lot.  Afterwards, we came home to open jammies under the tree.  Later in the week I was able to read the nativity story and have the grandchildren help with the pieces.

 Christmas Day we all met at Rosie's new townhouse to open gifts to each other.  Nine of the ten grandchildren pictured; Maren (5), Makenna (3), Hayden (10), Tyler (10), Tanner (7), Kristin (12), Camron (9), Lexi (3), and Halie (7).

 My parents arrived from California the day after Christmas, and we met at our church for dinner, music, other activities, and birthday cake for my mother's 86th birthday.

 Kristin sang "Angels We Have Heard On High" with my parents harmonizing with her.

 Kristin and Rosie also sang "When Christmas comes To town" from Polar Express.

 Camron played "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" on his new Ukulele.

 Dave and family sang a Christmas song with bells jingling.

 The grandkids then danced along to a "Gummy Bear" song.  They also had a handstand, cartwheel and running contest.

 New Years Eve day we got together with Dave and Jenn at the Classic Fun Center, then went to lunch at Red Robin.

Always a treat having son Dave and family in town.  Miss them a lot.
